In the movie Taken why are there no scenes?

If the movie is all about the illegal trade why didn't they show any girls being d and also do they selectively choose which girls to and which to save cause when that girl was sold at auction for $500,000 IMO nobody would pay that kinda money unless there was a guarantee the girl was a virgin?
