Are we still doing the right thing? (a question about America's current political actions)?
I realize that there was unreprible patriotism in the weeks and months following 9/11, and that going to war was probably the best decision at the time, but is it still? I know that political minds are divided among the mes but I feel that there is only one right course of action left for Americans, what I don't know is what that course of action is. America has been the central nation for over 50 years now, but our policies and moral standards are slipping. The memoriam about the tortures that were allegidly going on were denied, but then Bush made a statement that it is only deemed torutre if organ failure, or death occurs. What in the world is going on? In the past 20 years this country's moral authority has been bashed by affair, broken by terrorism, imaciated by lying and near completely desroyed by the constant scandals and corruption that has been going on. Have the terrorists won? Has our soldiers fighting been in vain? We are ravaged by division. It's time clean up our act.
