Does anyone else think news agencies and media should declare their political leanings or beliefs?

i agree. i think that "objectivity" in commercial news media has become a farce. i also think that the method of "unbiased" reporting that means that a journalist gives equal ground to two sides of an issue without indicating that one of them is false is fake objectivity. saying that a government report might have said that so and so supposedly took a bribe is wrong if the report actually said that so and so actually took a bribe. let's just call a spade a spade and stop pretending that creationism has equal credibility as evolutionary theory in explaining how living forms came to ume the shape that they currently have among the scientific community.
