What is the name of this movie?

Hi, does anyone of you remember the name of the movie about two uhm.. bandits (?), 100, 150 maybe 200 years ago, who rob rich people (once even during a ball, with fireworks etc.). One of them gets syphilis and the other one recommends him to use an explosive stuff or something to cure it, like gunpowder or dynamite, I don't remember.
