What are some ideas for a film paper on world cinema/foreign films/film movements/directors?

Check out French New Wave, films like Breathless, Cleo from 5 to 7, Jules et Jim, etc, whic led in to the new Hollywood films in America such as Butch Cidy, Bonnie and Clyde, the Graduate, etc.
