Sims2 playable without cd?

I have an eeepc 1005ha seashell laptop and it has NO dvd drive cause its mini and theres no space atleast thats what i think.i want to know if theres any way to use the sims 2 without a cd or if i can some how download it from website for FREE like world of warcraft that i only need a cd key?cause i got the cd and everything but the no dvd drive is the problem. help plz!!!!:(
