Get more router signal to my Xbox 360?

I bought a repeater and set it as an AP Client so that i can hook it up to my xbox. The location my xbox is in has low signal, and i want to know how to raise that signal. If i set the Repeater to another access point or repeater will i get better signal. If i set it as a repeater can i still get signal through the ethernet cable to my 360. I have the airlink 101 AP431W
